We Are Hiring!
We’re looking for a Refugee Outreach Coordinator who’s ready to build trusted relationships, strengthen pathways to support, and help shape how Iskashitaa shows up for refugee communities across Tucson.
This role is rooted in listening, connection, and follow-through. Refugees already engage with Iskashitaa through harvesting, food distribution, garden arts, and community events—but we need dedicated outreach, coordination, and systems to ensure people are connected to the right resources at the right time.
If you’re people-centered, culturally grounded, and motivated to turn relationships into lasting support structures, this role might be for you.
🌻 Why You’ll Love Working With Us
You’ll help shape and grow Iskashitaa’s refugee outreach efforts as community needs and services evolve.
You’ll work directly with refugees, community partners, and staff in a mission-driven, multicultural environment.
You’ll see tangible impact as your work supports food security, community integration, and access to resources for refugee families.
You’ll be part of an organization that values lived experience, collaboration, and learning by doing.
About Iskashitaa Refugee Network
Iskashitaa Refugee Network (IRN) is a 23-year-old, Tucson-based nonprofit fostering refugee integration, promoting food literacy, and reducing local food loss through community-based harvesting, education, and cultural exchange.
Our team works with refugees, asylum seekers, volunteers, and community partners to glean and redistribute over 100,000 pounds of produce annually, strengthen local food security, and build meaningful cross-cultural connections across Tucson.
