This class focuses on kitchen skills and vocabulary for adult ESL learners. We will be working in the commercial kitchen setting with activities that introduce relevant kitchen tools, safety and sanitation practices, and key food preservation concepts such as juicing, zesting, knife skills, and more. The overall goal is to build confidence, community, and experience in the commercial kitchen setting, as well as conversations about home kitchen practices and employ-ability skills for the food service industry.
