If you would like to direct your donation to a specific use, we have various items that we often cannot purchase ourselves. Look through the items below, and contact a staff member to discuss purchase of a specific item; or donate above through our PayPal link, and specify the item you would like your money to go towards. If an item is on this page, we are still in need of it. You can also find items that we need on our Amazon wishlist.
$80 - Bicas Bike Rack
We are in need of a secure place for staff and volunteers to park their bikes. We recently received a small bike rack for our parking lot, but we would like to expand our storage capacity. A small, handmade bike rack would provide a safe place for several more bikes.
$40 - Fruit picker
Citrus season dominates fruit picking here in Tucson, and our equipment takes quite a beating over 6 months of constant use. A new citrus picker will allow us to replace an older picker, which often cannot reach as far, and can damage fruit. You can purchase this item for us through Amazon Smile; make sure to check out the other items on our wishlist while you're there!
$80 - Adopt A Sewing Machine
We have received six Bernina sewing machines that will each last a refugee family at least a lifetime - once they're working that is! Each machine is in need of some repairs - from missing cords, to tensioning, to a good cleaning all around! $80 will allow us to purchase any missing components and pay for repairs on one machine. Two sewing machines have already been adopted; Thank you!
